a muse
I recently took a trip to New York City for the first time and learned something new. New Yorkers, for the most part, have been getting a bad rap. While walking around being another wide-eyed tourist, I started to notice the smaller picture; mainly the relationships between one New Yorker and another. They were helping each other on the train, courteous in giving a helping hand if someone was having trouble, and even taking time out of their busy schedule to help a lost child. What I also noticed was how annoying tourists actually are, stopping every 3 seconds, getting lost of the roads, and constantly trying to adapt their own convenient styles. It became increasingly annoying as I was trying to get places on time. So while most tourists might have a sour attitude for the city’s residents, the exact same thing can be said about them. And next time, I’ll think twice about my camera in the middle of the sidewalk.
